Mike has been rock climbing and mountaineering for 11 years and has climbed mountains around the world.
Mike began guiding for RMI in 2003. He received his Master’s Degree in Evolutionary Physiology and currently teaches 8th grade science in Denver, Colorado. Mike has been rock climbing and mountaineering for 11 years and has climbed mountains around the world. Enjoying travel, Mike has explored over 30 foreign countries. He is a Wilderness First Responder and Avalanche Level II certified. Mike also enjoys skiing, sailing, and any other outdoor adventure. He has significant stateside alpine experience including; 30 ascents of Mount Rainier and 2 expeditions of Mount McKinley, a winter ascent of Mt. Washington, NH, and many ascents in The Rocky Mountains and The Cascades. Some of his international experiences include1 expedition of Vinson-Massif, Antarctica, 2 expeditions to Mexico’s Volcanoes (El Pico De Orizaba),1 expedition to Ecuador (Cotopaxi and Tungurahau) and 1 expedition to Aconcagua (Argentina).
